I always sit down over the time between Christmas and New Years and evaluate the past year and plan for the next. 2025 was a terrific year; moving into Cockpit, setting up my studio, developing my first products and taking part in my first open studios and art exhibitions.
I’ve made many plans for 2026 and look forward to sharing them with you as they come to fruition. Stay tuned.
Learn Woodturning
If you’ve ever been interested in trying your hand at woodturning I teach evening courses on a regular basis at Blackhorse Workshop in Walthamstow. My next evening classes there are Candlestick turning in 12 & 13 February 2026. Booking available through the Blackhorse website. These classes sell out quickly so if you have an interest in coming and it’s full please let Blackhorse know. They add additional evenings depending on demand.
I also have the ability to offer one-to-one lessons at my studio in Deptford as well. Timing on these is flexible. Please contact me for details.

Wizardry in Wood
28-31 October, 2025
The Worshipful Company of Turners hosts Wizardry in Wood in London once every four years. It showcases amazing work from turners across the UK and beyond and is well worth a visit.
I was proud to display my piece, Voyage of Discovery, as part of the Yeoman’s competition along side so many other terrific pieces by my fellow Yeoman.
Voyage of Discovery charts Darwin’s journey on the HMS Beagle from the UK around South America, to the Galápagos Islands where he found inspiration for his theory of natural selection.
A quick update on Voyage of Discovery - it found a very appropriate home during Open Studios at Bloomsbury and is no longer available.
I am incredibly proud to have had two of my pieces shown at the ING Discerning Eye exhibition in November at the Mall Galleries in London after being selected by judge Nicholas Scott. There was a lot of great art on display. I recommend you check out their website to see it as what has not sold is still available to purchase until the end of 2025.

Cockpit Open Studios Winter 2025
Thank you to everyone who came to both the Bloomsbury and Deptford Open Studios. I sold out of my Christmas baubles and it makes me very happy to think of them decorating trees around London and the UK for the holidays.

I will be taking part in craft shows at both the Museum of the Home and Blackhorse Workshop this holiday season where I will be selling my hand-turned Christmas baubles. They are in limited supply some come early!
